Terms of use

Last updated 29 September 2026.

These terms apply to your use of the pocketphysio.app website. The website is operated by 3328833 Nova Scotia Limited, operating as Lauruss Infotech, a company in Nova Scotia, Canada ("PocketPhysio", "we", "us"). By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

The PocketPhysio app at pocketphysio.virtuelife.ai, including paid plans, is a separate service with its own terms, which you accept when you sign up. Prices are shown in the app.

Education, not medical advice

The exercise, condition, guide and tool pages are general education. They are not a diagnosis, a personal treatment plan or a replacement for care from a physiotherapist (physical therapist), doctor or other qualified health professional. Using the website does not create a clinician and patient relationship with PocketPhysio. Read our medical disclaimer.

Check with a health professional before starting exercise if you have a health condition, have had recent surgery or an injury, are pregnant, or are unsure whether an exercise suits you. Stop any exercise that causes sharp pain, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, numbness or tingling, and get medical advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

For physiotherapists and other clinicians

The clinical tools and professional guides support your work but do not replace your clinical judgement. You are responsible for your own assessments, prescriptions and records, and for following the rules of your regulator and your workplace, including rules on patient information. The guides on business, insurance, tax and regulation are general information, not legal, tax, insurance or financial advice. Rules change, so check the current official source before you act.

The free video library

You may watch the exercise videos on this website for your own personal, non-commercial use and, if you are a clinician, to look up exercises. Anyone can play up to 20 different videos in any 30 days without an account. To share programs with patients, use the PocketPhysio app.

You must not:

  1. Download, record, copy, save or redistribute the videos or voice guides, or try to get around the video protection, the free video limit or the short-lived video links.
  2. Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to copy content or place heavy load on the website. Search engines that follow our robots.txt file are welcome.
  3. Use the content to build a competing product or to train artificial intelligence models, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms.
  4. Remove copyright notices, misrepresent where content came from, or present the content as your own.
  5. Use the website in a way that breaks the law, interferes with its security or harms other users.

We may block access from any device, network or tool that breaks these rules.

Who owns the content

The videos, voice guides, text, images, tools, logos and design of this website belong to PocketPhysio or to the people who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms give you only the limited right to use the website described above. PocketPhysio and VirtueLife names and logos may not be used without written permission.

You may link to any page on this website. You may quote short passages with a link to the source page.

Accuracy and availability

We work to keep the content accurate and up to date, and every clinical page goes through the review process described in our editorial policy. Health knowledge changes, so we cannot promise that every page is complete, current or right for your situation. We may change, move or remove pages, videos and tools, and the website may sometimes be unavailable.

Links to other websites

Pages link to clinical guidelines, regulators and other websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Limits on our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded by agreement, such as the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or consumer law in the UK and European Union. Nothing limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, where the law does not allow that.

Apart from that, and as far as the law allows:

  1. The website is provided free of charge and "as is", without promises that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose.
  2. We are not responsible for injury, loss or damage that results from relying on general information on the website instead of getting advice from a qualified professional, or from doing an exercise against the advice on its page or your clinician's advice.
  3. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business opportunities.
  4. Our total responsibility to you for any claim about the free website is limited to CAD 100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about these terms or the website will be heard by the courts of Nova Scotia. If you use the website as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the website after a change, the updated terms apply from then on.
